Industrial-Organizational psychology (variably known as I/O psychology, work psychology, work and organizational psychology, W-O psychology, occupational psychology, personnel psychology, and/or talent assessment) is the subdiscipline of psychology whose aim is the application of psychological theories, research methods, and intervention strategies to industrial and organizational issues/settings. The goal of industrial-organizational psychology is to make organizations more productive while ensuring that workers are capable of living psychologically and physically healthy lives. |
