Though there are certainly many forms of group psychotherapy (i.e., process, psychoeducational, encounter, etc.), the fundamental nature of this type of psychotherapy is the interaction of several individuals, focusing on interpersonal interactions to develop knowledge and understanding that will help such individuals address relational and other factors associated with their reasons for attending the group.
