Psychopathology refers to the study of mental illness or mental disorders.  For the purpose of disseminating information on givingpsychologyaway.net, I have chosen to use the taxonomy—classification system—used in the DSM-IV-TR (see link to the right).  This classification system, however, is controversial (see, “Controversial Issues in Psychology” section—”Catergorical v. Dimensional Diagnoses”) and, as such, should not, necessarily, be considered definitive.
